The RAPT Pill is very easy to use. Well sort of, the online instructions are a bit vague and it took me a couple of goes to get it connected, Simply calibrate the Pill, drop it into your fermenting vessel, and then connect to it with your phone or computer. The Pill will then start sending data to your device, including the current SG, temperature, and fermentation activity.

I don't know how accurate the pill is, but I think it's good enough for homebrew but I will compare the readings from the RAPT Pill to those from a traditional hydrometer at some point.

The RAPT Pill has a long battery life. On Bluetooth, the battery will last for up to 6 months. On Wi-Fi, the battery will last for up to 1 month, this it good enough for me.

The RAPT Pill is made of food-grade plastics that are BPA-free and resistant to chemicals. This means that you can be confident that the Pill will not contaminate your beer, wine, or cider, it has no exposed threads so this helps to prevent contamination and makes the Pill easier to clean.

There are a number of similar item like the RAPT Pill on the market, I was going to buy one at some point but chose this as it was made by Kegland and I liked their products, the real-time monitoring capability is a revelation with a glance at my phone or computer I could track the temperature fluctuations and observe the ABV gravity changes throughout fermentation.
